JACK WILLMERT, SENIOR, d, PRIOR LAKE

Willmert is in the midst of an extremely promising season as a senior defenseman at Prior Lake. The 6-foot-4 skater currently has the second-most points on the entire roster with 20 through 23 games played so far this season. Willmert has already surpassed his point totals from the past two years combined and he’s wearing the ‘C’ for the Lakers as well in 2025-26.

“We’re starting to feel pretty good, our focus is on tightening up the little details and building momentum heading into sections,” the senior said about how his team is feeling in early February. “We’ve faced a lot of adversity this season with injuries and I think that’s brought our group closer together and made us even more excited for the challenge ahead.”

“My favorite part about APX is training with the boys every day and pushing each other to get better. Training together has pushed all of us to raise our level and it shows in how we compete on the ice,” he said about his experience within the APX program.

KADEN LARSON, Senior, F, Bloomington jefferson

Senior forward Kaden Larson has been excellent this season for the Jaguars. The Bloomington squad currently holds an impressive 16-5-3 record and Larson leads the team in assists (22) and is second in overall scoring (32). Last season, Larson posted 29 total points for the Jaguars so he has already surpassed his previous personal best on varsity with still a few games left to play in 2025-26.

ernie drury, junior, G, cretin-derham hall

Cretin-Derham Hall is currently ranked No. 9 in Class AA in the state of Minnesota and junior Ernie Drury is starting to turn heads out there in goal for the Raiders. The St. Paul native is in his first season as a varsity starter and has done extremely well, posting a .918 save percentage and a 1.79 goals-against average while facing off against some of the top teams in the state.

“We are playing with a lot of confidence moving into playoffs … we are starting to find our game and when we play like that we will be hard to beat,” Drury said about how the Raiders feel heading into section competition next week.

“My favorite thing about APX is how the goalie drills are made based off of what we want to work on,” he said about his experience training within the APX Goaltending program. “Being able to know what you need to work on is a great skill and I think that APX has helped me a lot with that.”

blake dosan, junior, f, bloomington jefferson

Blake Dosan, a forward at Bloomington Jefferson, had a successful sophomore season last year but he has made big strides in his development to now be playing his best hockey yet as a junior. The 6-foot-3 skater had 24 points last year on varsity and now holds 31 points with still a few games left to play on the schedule. Dosan has transformed into one of the top athletes on the Jaguars squad and he currently has the second-most goals (17) on the entire team.

JAXON COOK, soph., f, gentry academy

Jaxon Cook has put himself on the map recently as one of the top young forwards in the state of Minnesota. The 16-year-old skater had a very promising freshman season for Gentry Academy last year by potting 28 points through 26 games but he is just simply on another level this year. Cook currently leads the Stars in scoring with 48 points in 2025-26 and he’s got 17 more goals than the next closest skater on the roster. Keep an eye on this kid because big things are coming his way in the future.

Marcus matyas, junior, f, cretin-derham hall

Marcus Matyas had very solid seasons as both a freshman and a sophomore up on varsity for Cretin-Derham Hall but he has turned into a much different player this year as a junior. The 5-foot-11 forward currently has 29 points for the Raiders, which is the most on the entire team. The squad currently holds an 18-6 overall record and will look to Matyas to help propel the team to a deep run in section playoffs and hopefully a chance at the state tournament in just a few weeks. The junior has already tied his overall point total from last year and should easily surpass that in the weeks to come.

miles kennelly, soph., f, northfield

Northfield has been a top team in Class A this season, currently ranked at No. 7 in the standings, and Miles Kennelly has been a huge reason for that success. The 16-year-old had an impressive 32 points last season on varsity but he is now in the midst of a big breakout year by netting a whopping 26 goals and 21 assists through 23 games played so far for a Raiders team that has only lost two games in 2025-26. He’s got 13 more goals than the next closest skater on the roster. If you’re a fan of Class A hockey then you should absolutely have Kennelly on your radar as a prospect to keep an eye on.

tanner gylling, junior, F, farmington

Farmington junior forward Tanner Gylling is one of the top athletes for the Tigers in 2025-26. He has drastically improved his offensive ability from his sophomore season and already has 10 more points than he did last year. Gylling wears the ‘C’ for the Farmington team as well and he and his twin brother Tanner (featured in Market Movers Pt. 1) have been absolutely electric for the Tigers in 2025-26.

“My favorite thing about APX is the dedication that everyone brings everyday. Everyone is there to get better and push each other to be their best,” Gylling said about training with the APX program. “The environment is always buzzing and the friendly competition is always fun. Iron sharpens iron.”

“As playoffs are coming closer I’m feeling confident and so is the team. Our practices are ramping up and we have some big games to end the regular season which will help prepare us,” he added about how the Tigers are feeling at this point in the season. “I’m excited to see what we can do in playoffs and it’s fun to be a part of such a great group.”
