landon huh, junior, d, Shakopee

Huh is in the midst of an explosive breakout season for Shakopee. The right-handed defenseman had 13 points for the Sabers last year as a sophomore but now already has a whopping 10 goals and 13 assists for his squad in 2025-26. In fact, Huh is now the top-scoring defensemen on his team.

“APX has helped develop my game in many different ways. They have helped me with the physical and mental side of the game. They have grown my defensive side of the game the most with defending the rush and transitioning the puck up ice fast off of turnovers,” Huh said about his experience at APX. “Something specific I tried to focus on more is my gap control but also my skating and trying to become a faster and more agile skater overall so I can be more effective in all three zones of the rink.”

“One of my favorite parts about APX is the community and family feeling that you have when you show up to the rink everyday. Everyone wants to get better and the staff is always their wanting to push you and help you develop on the ice, in the gym, and also to develop who you are as a person,” he added.

Peter mUrray, Senior, F, St. Thomas Academy

Murray has been a key part of St. Thomas Academy’s core of forwards for a while now but he has recently shown extreme growth in his development and is having over a point-per game season as a senior in 2025-26. The 6-foot-1 forward has already almost exceeded his point totals from last season (24) as he has 23 points through 20 games played for the Cadets in 2025-26 and he is wearing an ‘A’ for the team this winter as well. Murray recently showcased his skills at Hockey Day Minnesota where he scored a goal and an assist in St. Thomas Academy’s 4-1 win over Rock Ridge on Jan. 24 in Hastings.

Logan smith, senior, f, Chanhassen

Logan Smith, who is a captain for the Chanhassen squad in 2025-26, is having an incredible season in 2025-26. He leads the Storm in scoring and recently hit the 20-goal mark through just 18 games played. Smith is a talented multi-sport athlete who spent his fall season excelling on the football field and simultaneously putting up over a point-per game for Team APX at the Upper Midwest High School Elite League.

“APX has been a huge help in my game. I really worked on my speed and hockey IQ which APX has been a huge help with,” Smith said about his time training within the program. “The season’s been going good for me and the team and it’s been a lot of fun. I think we are feeling excited for these last couple of games and are ready for playoffs.”

kaden decker, senior, f, lakeville north

In 2025-26, Decker has already almost exceeded his point totals from last year. As a junior, the Lakeville native had 25 points for the Panthers and now he’s already got 24 to his name as a senior through just 19 games played so far. Decker is the current top scorer of the Lakeville North team and he wears a ‘C’ on his jersey as well, showing his leadership both on and off the ice. Prior to the start of the high school season, Decker was one of the top athletes on Team APX at the Upper Midwest High School Elite League.

tegan gylling, junior, f, farmington

Tegan Gylling has gone from a good player at Farmington to a great player at Farmington within just one years time. After a 16 point sophomore season, Gylling now is tied for the lead in overall scoring for the Tigers with his twin brother, Tanner, as they both have 9 goals and 13 assists through 19 games played. Farmington currently owns an impressive 16-2-1 overall record and will be looking to carry that momentum into playoffs in a few weeks.

channing goodwin, junior, f, rosemount

Channing Goodwin is a key part of Rosemount’s core of talented forwards. The Irish are currently sitting as one of the top teams in Class AA this season and Goodwin has 21 points through just 18 games played for Rosemount so far in 2025-26, which is already two more points than he scored during all of last season as a sophomore. Goodwin and the Irish squad will be looking to finish out their season on a strong note over the next few weeks before preparing for a deep playoff push.

gavin lind, junior, f, prior lake

Prior Lake’s Gavin Lind had a solid sophomore season, scoring 16 points for the Lakers in his first year up on varsity. Now, the junior forward’s stats look incredibly eye-popping as he leads his team in overall scoring with 21 points through just 12 games played. Despite missing six games this season, Lind still has the most goals on the entire Lakers roster (7) and he has the most points while on the powerplay as well (2G, 9A), so he is certainly an athlete that has been on the rise over the past few months.

Brady Morrell, Senior, F, Hill-Murray

Hill-Murray forward Brady Morrell had a solid season last year as a junior but he really started to turn heads and draw lots of attention to himself this year as a senior. Morrell scored 19 points in 2024-25, which is certainly an honorable amount, but he now leads the entire squad in both goals (13) and overall scoring (28) as a senior in 2025-26.

“The season’s been going really well so far, both for me personally and for our team. Playing with (Chaz) Lentz and (Landon) Sampair has made it easy for me to find success,” Morrell said about his senior season with the Pioneers. “We’ve been improving every week and starting to put everything together at the right time. With only a handful of games left before playoffs, we’re feeling confident but still locked in and focused on getting better every day. We know there’s more to accomplish, so we’re staying hungry and pushing each other to get where we want to when the season ends.”

The 18-year-old also had an incredible showing at the Upper Midwest High School Elite League this past fall where he was tied for the league lead in goals (14) while competing for Team APX.

“APX has helped my game a lot, especially because of the competitive environment. Training with other high-level athletes pushes me to work harder and raise my standards every day,” said Morrell about his experience training at APX. “The coaching staff has done a phenomenal job on helping me with my weaknesses while also focusing on my strengths that make me the player I am … Many of my teammates also train at APX so we were able to push each and carry that into the season.”
