Kaminski, born and raised in Pittsburgh, has coached hockey at various levels from youth/high school on up through the collegiate club scene. He eventually switched over to the scouting side of things and has worked with the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL (who won the Robertson Cup in 2024 with him on the staff) and with the Strathroy Rockets of the GOJHL. Kaminski has a bachelor’s degree from Geneva College, where he played club hockey, and master’s degrees in both sports management and business administration from PennWest California and Carlow University, respectively.

“To be aligned with a company that is not only veteran-owned but also really believes in and values its players and families and doesn’t just see them as transactions but sees them as people and really wants to help those players advance to beyond where they are … it was kind of a no-brainer for me,” said Kaminski on his new position. 

As the new advisor for the Mid-Atlantic region, the Pittsburgh native is excited to get started with the APX team by creating new connections with various hockey players and their families and helping those athletes on their journey throughout the sport.
