APX Hockey is excited to announce the addition of Hunter Warner to the team as a senior advisor.
Warner, originally from Pine City, has an extensive knowledge of the game that will help to expand and round out the current APX advising team. The 29-year-old defenseman played high school hockey at Eden Prairie prior to spending a handful of years in both the USHL and WHL. He eventually competed professionally for the Iowa Wild of the AHL and made a career for himself overseas as well. More recently, though, Warner has carved out a path in scouting, coaching, and advising, which ultimately led him to his new position at APX.

“Hunter brings to the team a strong foundation of honesty, integrity, and work ethic. He carved a unique path throughout his hockey career - from high school to the USHL, then onto the Western Hockey League, which ultimately led him to the AHL and the Iowa Wild. This journey provided Hunter with a first-hand experience in nearly every major hockey development model,” said APX Hockey General Manager Erik Rasmussen. “Hunter's hockey experience will allow him to help guide APX clients to reach their goals”
Warner has deep roots within the program, considering that he first started training and skating with APX back when he was in the eighth grade. He is very familiar with many of the current staff members and has an extensive knowledge of what goes on at the rink on an everyday basis.
“I love discovering talent, developing talent, and developing good young humans to help give them the chance to become the best person and the best player that they can be,” said Warner about his new position. “I’ll bring experience, work ethic, passion and integrity to the team, that’s how I operate. I love what I do and I’m blessed to do it.”
Warner currently lives in Victoria with his wife and daughter and will be busy on the ice this upcoming season with APX and also as the new varsity hockey coach at Southwest Christian Academy.
