Here is our conference by conference breakdown of Minnesotans currently in the ranks of Division I men’s college hockey. Our definition of ‘Minnesotan’ means that a player either (a) lists their hometown as a city in Minnesota on their current collegiate roster and/or (b) played at least one season for a Minnesota high school hockey team.
This information is sorted by NCAA Team Name, Athlete Name, MN High School(s) Attended, Hometown (as listed on their current college roster), Year in School, Position and Notables (draft pick, transfer, state champion, Mr. Hockey winner, etc.).
Unsurprisingly, the University of Minnesota is the team with the most Minnesotans (by our definition) on the roster in 2025-26 with 20. Sitting closely behind them is St. Thomas (17), St. Cloud State (14) and Augustana (12). Minnesota Duluth (10), the Air Force Academy (10) and Minnesota State (9) sit closely behind them as well. The teams with no Minnesotans this season includes RIT, Sacred Heart, Penn State, Bowling Green, Brown, Princeton, Quinnipiac, RPI, UMass-Lowell, New Hampshire and Providence.
You can view the entire spreadsheet by clicking on the tabs for each conference below or you can view a shortened version of the list by scrolling down the page where you can view the Minnesotans in a team-by-team view with just their name and high school(s) listed. More information on each player is available in the spreadsheet.
*High schools are only listed if an athlete registered varsity games with that team - if an athlete only played for a triple-A program such as Northstar Christian, Shattuck-St. Mary’s, Sioux Falls Power, etc., it is listed as ‘did not play MN HS’.
