
Sean grew up playing his youth hockey in Mendota Heights before attending
St. Paul Academy.
He played two years of Juniors in the USHL and is a former Division 1 graduate assistant coach and player at the Colorado College in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). After graduating, Foley was an instructor and Program Director of the Mike Foley - SPA Hockey Camps between 1992 and 2006 where over 10,000 skaters including Mites, Squirts, Peewees, Bantams, and High School players participated. In 2010, Sean Co-founded the Hockey Academy at Saint Thomas where he has served as the Youth Director over 8 years. In 2018, Sean joined the Map South staff and currently serves as the Program Director for MAP South. Sean brings a unique and extensive background of over 30 years of coaching experience with a primary focus on fundamentals and age appropriate skill development and progression.
