“Marty” is a vital member of our team with a strong background. He grew up in Brainerd, MN where he played high school hockey for the Warriors. His path continued to Bemidji State University, where he majored in education.  Marty has one of the stronger coaching specific backgrounds among our staff, having found success at the peewee, bantam, JV, and varsity levels. He is currently the assistant coach for the varsity team at Owatonna. Along with his contributions to APX Hockey and MAP South, he is also a PE and special education PE teacher. Marty’s lifetime experience of educating, mentoring and leading young athletes is evident every day at MAP South.
